Actress Ngo Thanh Van, 43 married chef Huy Tran, who’s 11 years younger, at a beach wedding in Da Nang in May. In 2019, the movie “Hai Phuong” (Furie), which she produced and starred in, earned more than VND200 billion ($8.5 million) and became the highest-grossing Vietnamese movie of all time.
Huy Tran was born in Germany. He graduated from GPB Berlin, majoring in import and export. In mid-2019, he participated in the TV show Amazing Race Vietnam. Currently, he is the owner of a German restaurant in HCMC.
